Liffey Descent Canoe Marathon Race. At the very first Dublin Boat Show in 1960, a short canoe race took place on the river Liffey as part of the programme.

Paddle & Pedal started in 2013, founded and run by David Horkan from Ballina Co. Mayo.

Paddling com created with the goal of creating the best resource for canoe and kayak paddlers and a community for paddlers to share ideas and get advice.
